Four generations of women.
Four generations of cancer.

For as long as I can remember cancer has been a word associated with my family.
From mother to daughter for four generations breast cancer and ovarian cancer have left their mark. As a 12 year breast cancer survivor, I understand the physical and emotional challenges brought on by a cancer diagnosis. I also have found valuable strength, compassion and support from others touched by cancer.

The Hirsch Family Fund was started in my Mother’s honor and is a local non-profit organization dedicated to building a cancer support community connecting cancer patients and survivors, caregivers, family and friends. A network of people living in our community wishing to explore the journey from discovering illness to uncovering wellness.

The Hirsch Wellness Network website is a place for individuals to voice their thoughts and share experiences. The site includes:
		A source of inspiration that is ever changing. Check back often to see what's new.
		An on-line art gallery featuring works by individuals touched by a cancer diagnosis.
		Articles written by local physicians, nurses, spiritual leaders and clergy, holistic practitioners and fitness experts expressing their points of view on wellness through illness.
		A message board for people to log-in and voice their ideas, concerns and questions in a public forum.
Our goal is for each person to find empowerment, strength, joy and healing. I hope you will join me and become a part of the support network.
